Brickell is a neighborhood of downtown Miami just south of the Miami River. The neighborhood in the Brickell area is a metropolitan residential community of tall buildings, hip bars and restaurants, and an internationally diverse group of residents; There are many boutiques, and luxury spas to enjoy in this neighborhood; along with several tranquil parks and places of worship.

The Shops at Mary Brickell Village is a lifestyle center located in the Brickell. It has become a very popular downtown destination, bringing new stores and eateries to the area. Although the center spans two blocks (9th and 10th Streets) of Miami Avenue, the nighttime crowds spread throughout Brickell from the center, most notably up and down Miami Avenue, where a large number of upscale bars and restaurants are located.

It is home to South Florida’s major financial district the core of banking investments & financial sectors. This area is also referred as “Manhattan in Paradise” so business is part of the culture. Public Transportation in the Downtown/Brickell area is used more than in any other part of Miami and is a vital part of Brickell life.

As an urban and pedestrian-friendly area with an extensive public transit Brickell is one of the areas in Miami where a car-free lifestyle is common. Many residents get around by foot, bicycle.
